AC/DC este o formație de hard rock înființată în Sydney, Australia, în 1973 de către frații Angus și Malcolm Young.
Deși grupul e considerat a fi unul dintre pionierii muzicii hard rock, împreună cu alte formații precum Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple sau Black Sabbath, membrii AC/DC tot timpul s-au referit la muzica lor ca fiind "rock 'n' roll". Formația a acceptat și titlul de trupă hard rock, fiind desemnați numărul 4 în Topul 100 VH1 al celor mai mari artiști de Hard Rock.
